Chery Tiggo and Vortex Tingo: comparison.

UAZ Patriot, 2.7 l., 2009 onwards
It became easy to move and accelerate. Especially for maneuverability. Became like a good foreign car. The car is unrecognizable, it rolls in such a way that it is not inferior to any foreign car. I like to ride.

Good afternoon Vladislav. Today I received a parcel with a throttle and immediately installed the unit. The car is unrecognizable. Volga weighing 1.8 tons, it tears from a standstill with slipping through our mountains where I used to go in 3-4 gears now free in 5th and still accelerating. At the old node the speed is 90 km. accelerated at 3000-3300rpm. Now 2000-2300rpm. It's fun to overtake; there's no need to downshift. And at the same time I barely press the gas pedal. So far I'm very pleased with the result.

I read a lot about throttle tuning and decided to try it. My first impressions are that the car has become easier to accelerate. Previously, the acceleration was from 3000 now from 2000 rpm. The pickup is already underway. I advise everyone, it really works! Although I had big doubts. And as for the fact that many write that this is a scam, don’t believe it! First, TRY YOURSELF... Yes, the most important thing is that you barely press the gas pedal, but the car accelerates vigorously. Previously, after releasing the gas, it felt like you were pulling someone in tow and he was slowing you down. ...after releasing the gas in gear, the car continues to confidently move forward. The next time you press the gas, the car accelerates confidently without jerking.

Vortex Tingo 1.8 l., 2011 onwards
I did some throttle tuning. I've been traveling with him for 1.5 years now. There is an effect. There were no problems, as they are trying to make out here. The car starts perfectly, both in summer and at -35 in winter. Consumption has decreased.

The throttle assembly has been modified. From service to home I really enjoyed the ride. No more pressing on the pedal. Just put your foot down and the car GOES. At the bottom he boldly undermines. The deep, blunt hole disappeared when the speed increased from 70 to 100 km/h. And consumption has dropped further, by 0.5 liters so far. Thank you so much for a job well done!!! Super!!!
After modifications, the car actually DRIVES even with air conditioning!

If you need a car, the prototype of which is a model from a Japanese manufacturer, but at a more affordable price, then pay attention to Chery Tiggo. Its external resemblance to the second-generation Toyota RAV-4 crossover is obvious even to an inexperienced car enthusiast. At the same time, Chery-Tiggo spare parts are several times cheaper and can always be found in the store. Chery Tiggo itself became a kind of prototype for the Vortex Tingo crossover presented in 2012 at the Beijing Auto Show.

Model overview

According to many experts, Chery Tiggo spare parts can be used to repair Vortex Tingo - the models are so similar to each other. The cars are identical in appearance and only the most meticulous comparison reveals that the Vortex-Tingo has a more elegant radiator grille, smaller headlights and a complex geometric shape of the front part of the body. At the rear, the car received additional brake lights.

Unlike the Chery Tiggo, the Tagaz Vortex Tingo model received a multifunction steering wheel, enlarged front seat cushions, and a color instrument panel with a square LCD display in the center. Improvements have also been made to the finishing materials, and the sound insulation of the interior has increased. The Vortex Tingo crossover has acquired a modern power window control unit on the driver's door.

As a rule, the Tiggo and Vortex Tingo have an Acteco SQR481FC power unit, but cars are produced with Mitsubishi engines (4G63S4M or 4G64S4M). Stability and a high level of power of 132 horsepower at 5750 rpm are characterized by a sixteen-valve Acteco engine with a displacement of 1.8 liters. For this power plant, the manufacturer claims a fuel consumption of 11.4 liters within the city and 6.9 liters on the highway.

The eight-valve Mitsubishi engines that power the Chery Tiggo have a volume of 2 and 2.4 liters with a power level of 125 and 130 hp. With. respectively. Tank volume 55 liters. The Cherry and Vortex models have a timing belt drive. Valve clearances on engines can be adjusted using hydraulic compensators connected by special channels to the lubrication system.

In the section on the question: What is better to take - Chery Tiggo or Vortex Tingo (TagAZ)? given by the author philosophical the best answer is if they don’t make new Tigos like 2.0, 1.8 Austrian engine, I would take a Tigo with a better interior, but the filling is the same

Answer from Neurosis[guru]
uh, it’s even hard to say, they’re both kind of dark

Answer from Dmitry Gubin[guru]
Well, one hat is Chinese. Better then a Chery with all-wheel drive

Answer from Questionnaire[guru]
For 500 rubles to buy this... It’s better to take some kind of Japanese car or a Ford SUV for that kind of money, which is quite new and there will be many fewer problems.

Answer from F[expert]
I recommend the five-door Niva. Buy one of these - In case of an accident at a speed of no more than 30 mph, this Chinese shit will blow up so much that it's fucked up. In addition, these auto-creations of cross-eyed people are a complete minus. There is less safety than on a moped; airbags are added there only for the complete set, but not for safety. Selling is simply not possible, practically no one even approaches at the market, even outbid buyers are avoided. All the doors creak, after a while the engine will scream like a ten-year-old diesel engine. For some reason, everyone thinks that for 13 thousand dollars they will buy themselves a cool crossover with a high level of safety and a great chassis.

Answer from Vanya Berezhnoy[newbie]
I owned a Cherry Tigo and drove it for 480k. km. I only changed consumables. Stop making up fairy tales about the Chinese. I had Solaris, and a right-handed Lancer and a Mark 2, and a Volz Passat, the Chinese was the most persistent of all of the above.

One of the secrets of the popularity of this Chinese car is its clear external resemblance to the second-generation Japanese crossover Toyota RAV-4. Obviously, this is exactly what the Chinese wanted when developing this car: a potential buyer, looking at the Chery Tiggo, will remember the Japanese analogue and will definitely buy it. And judging by the number of cars of this brand running on the roads of the world, this oriental trick works well. Distinguishing a Chinese crossover from a Japanese one in appearance is not an easy task. Same profile, same dimensions. Only a powerful hood that extends onto the radiator grille, head optics, and a few other minor details distinguish the Tiggo from the RAV-4. The build quality is excellent: the gaps between the body parts are even, although quite wide. Inside, the Tiggo is also very similar to the RAV-4, although the quality of finishing materials is significantly inferior to it.

For a long time, the Chery Tiggo was supplied to Russia exclusively with front-wheel drive, and only at the end of 2009 there appeared models equipped with a viscous coupling that connects the rear wheels when the front ones slip. In addition, the owners of this car were forced to change gears manually; only at the end of 2008 a version with a four-zone automatic transmission appeared.

The most popular engines for Chery Tiggo were (and remain to this day) four-cylinder petrol units with a capacity of 125 and 129 hp. volumes of 2 and 2.4 liters respectively. The ever-increasing popularity of the model in our country forced Chinese automakers to organize the assembly of this crossover, first in Kaliningrad and then in Taganrog.

The Taganrog Automobile Plant was founded in 1998 in the year of celebrating the 300th anniversary of the city. Over the past years, the plant has changed several partners and today cars under the BYD and Hyundai brands are produced on its territory. The plant owns the Tagaz and Vortex brands.

While releasing a copy of the Chinese crossover Chery Tiggo, the plant's engineers hatched plans to modernize this car for about a year. The result of this work was presented at the Beijing Auto Show in the spring of 2012.

The changes affected almost the entire car. In appearance, this is, first of all, the front part, where a new, more elegant radiator grille has appeared, and the headlights, having decreased in size, have acquired a more complex geometric shape. Thanks to this, the image of Vortex Tingo acquired a more strict and finished look. The rear part, after restyling, acquired a new bumper and additional brake lights at the bottom. The car has grown in size by 10.5 cm and looks fresh and original. Tagaz Vortex Tingo is available in a wide range of colors. All colors come from the metallic series. These are red, black, blue, green, white, “silver”. The plant provides an impressive warranty on the body - 5 years or 500 thousand kilometers, whichever comes first. Tagaz Vortex Tingo cars are offered with a large selection of additional equipment: nickel-plated guard, metal sills, engine crankcase protection.

The interior of the updated Tingo is also different from the Chery Tiggo. A stylish multifunctional steering wheel, a new instrument panel with a large square LCD screen in the middle, larger front seat cushions with more pronounced support - this is just a small list of updates. The finishing materials have been improved, a more modern power window control unit has appeared on the driver's door, the radio control keys, the air conditioner knobs have acquired clear movements, and the sound insulation of the cabin has improved. Build quality is decent, but still far from flawless. Burrs on plastic panels and uneven gaps between parts are common.

Options and prices for the updated Tagaz Vortex Tingo 2013 in Russia

The technical characteristics of the Tagaz Vortex Tingo remain the same for now: under the hood is a 1.8-liter gasoline engine with a power of 132 hp. The undoubted advantage of this engine is the fuel used - AI 92. Consumption is also not high; on average, in the combined cycle, Tingo consumes about 9.2 liters per hundred kilometers.

The number of configurations also remained unchanged, there are still three. Two versions - MT1 Comfort and MT2 Lux come with a five-speed manual transmission, the third - with a robotic five-speed automatic transmission.

The automotive world used to be delightfully clear and unambiguous. What qualities were considered primarily when choosing. A trio of acceleration, power and top speed. The one with the fattest engine was given preference. Today everything is much more complicated. People have learned to count their money. Now, when choosing, first of all, environmental friendliness, efficiency, safety and, of course, the cost of the car are considered. Yes, the Tagaz Vortex Tingo may deserve some reproaches: it is not very modern, and not impeccably assembled... But the low price fully justifies the quality of this car, and most likely this factor will have a significant impact in favor of this crossover.
